What are the differences between a laptop and a notebook?

A laptop is a portable computer and a notebook is a well... a book you put notes in :) hehehhe. Seriously, there's no difference. You say to-may-to, I say to-mah-to...

no there isn't a whole lot of difference. . . There is mobile computing and laptops though. Mobile computing is using something like the Vaio Type U by Sony. It's small, light, and portable. Laptops are portable but are not truly mobile due to their size. Just think of it this way. If it's a burden to carry it, it's a laptop. If you can take it with you just about anywhere and the keyboard is a pain in the butt to use, it's a mobile. . . Keep in mind mobile computing is nice for the guy on the run but the small key board is uncomfortable and it's not the best in terms of every day use.

Laptops are mostly used for Internet, music, and games. notebooks are mostly used for business like Internet, Microsoft professional. but other than that, their is no there difference. there are pretty much the same. have a nice day!
