A psycologist treat your mind with talking and listening. The psychiatrist treat your mind with listening and pills.

psychiatrists can write perscriptions and psychologists cannot.

A psychiatrist writes prescriptions for meds.. A psychologist can't, they are more for therapy.

The first one briefly listens to your problems and prescribes the medication. The other one sits and talks with you about everything that is bothering you and teaches certain techniques/ breathing exercises to help you.
