I've had my wisdom teeth removed, but my mouth is still numb 10 hours later. Is this normal?

I had my wisdom teeth out a few years ago, when they numb your mouth they do something w/ the nerves and such, i couldn't feel the bottom right lower jaw from my back teeth to my chin for about 2-3 days, i got freaked out but my mom ( a doctor) told me it was alright... just don't panic and if you don't get feeling back in a few days, go to your doctor . GOOD LUCK

i would call your dentist or the surgeon who removed them depening on if they were under the gums still, i had mine pulled couple months ago and after a few hours after i woke up i could feel everything. i guess it all just depends on maybe what they gave u, but to be SAFE, call and ask, it definently doesnt hurt to be careful when it comes to these things. but i hope you feel better. i know it hurts like heck :)

Don't worry about it I had five wisdom teeth pulled and it never hurt...nothing to worry about just don't eat solids for a while or it will get stuck in the holes and cause damage
