As long as elections remain a secret ,its impossible to reconcile your vote .. I can understand the mentality that lead to voting in secret 200 years ago under very difficult times .. Back in those days rulers routinely jailed and murdered those who opposed or violated the rulers standing orders or rules .. It is time to bring elections into the light of day and make your vote mean something .. We have the means to assign a number that you can track to your vote .. Publish the voting record and have an independent audit of the total number of voters who go to the polls .

You can't anymore. In MO republicans are trying to make it even harder to vote by having to have a drivers licence. . Don't forget that Bush is also the first president in US history to have the United Nations removed from the US elections monitoring board. What does THAT say?

After numerous rounds of "We don't even know if Osama is still alive," Osama himself decided to send George W. Bush a letter in his own handwriting to let the President know he was still in the game.. . Bush opened the letter and it appeared to contain a single line of coded message:. . 370HSSV-0773H. . Bush was baffled, so he e-mailed it to Condi Rice. Condi and her aides had no clue either, so they sent it to the FBI.. . No one could solve it at the FBI so it went to the CIA, then to the NSA.. . With no clue as to its meaning they eventually asked Britain's MI-6 for help. Within a minute MI-6 cabled the White House with this reply "Tell the President he's holding the message upside down."

I sent in my absentee ballot.. I think it's got more chance then at the polls.. I voted, can't be sure it's counted, but then you can never be too sure. I did my part though!

They are counting my vote which is off-set by the vote of my dead grandma. She was not a Democrat but it seems that is the way she votes now?

your best bet is to learn what the rules are and to follow them. if you are supposed to bring id, bring it. if you need double the regular postage on your absentee ballot, then affix double postage. read everything available to you, and follow what it says. i suppose there is no guarantee that any vote truly counts, but at least you will have done all you could. if regular, lawful votes are all counted, then i do what i must to make sure mine are to the letter.
