Some numbing solution like Ambesol That is the skip zone when you are brushing. Slow down when your brushing and focus on that area. The tissue is thin in that area so be gentle only a soft tooth brush.

Its a case of ginigivitis. Go to your doctor and ask for your teeth to be cleaned - they can also clean underneath the gumline. Once they do this and you keep up a regular brushing and flossing technique the swelling will go down.. . In the meantime brush and floss your teeth regularly and use a mouthwash or salty water to prevent the infection from spreading to the rest of your gums.
