Are there any fashion college courses available for high school students?

try contacting the schools listed below or checking their websites for high school offerings. sometimes there are summer classes offered through museums as well that would be good on a high school resume/portfolio. while you may not get credit, extra effort to attend classes are always a plus.

at FIT and parsons they have summer pre-college and year round saturday classes for highschool students for fashion and other areas of art.. ( www.parsons.edu or www.fit.edu )

What you need for fashion design is a good background in figure drawing. Check a community college for a figure drawing class, or practice drawing your friends. That'd be a great first step, and when you try to get into a fashion design school, they will look to see if you can draw a person.. . I go to Virginia Commonwealth University in Virginia. it's far away from you, but maybe will give you some ideas on their program website. Check out www.vcu.edu
