Bialetti. . simple, well made, and a classic that has survived all the fancy fashions.. . Various sizes available, and either use on the hob or integrated heater; and much cheaper than some wizzer gadget device. Nothing really to go wrong, and spare parts are available.. . Spend the money you save on good beans if you want really good coffee. (beans are probably cheaper than pods anyway, and less waste; caffinated coffee grounds are good slug deterent). . grinding your own coffee too will make a big improvement in taste. and choose own blend, roast and provenance of the beans. especially since I wnat organic fair trade these are not avaiable from the big market dominating brands where cost/profit for shareholders is the main concern. . Make friends with your local roaster/trader and she/he will provide small trial selections 'til you find the ones to your taste; much more enjoyable than getting a box with a pretty picture on it from a supermarket.
