Best answer
Just give it to a sony service centre,shown in the handy camera readers manual. Another idea is to place that junk on the railway track and watch what is happening!!!

Sounds bad. Off to the Sony (Authorised!) Service Centre. Do as above. Make sure that the camera is streaming to a TV set as the train approaches.
