Why do some people assume that atheists cannot see or understand certain things?

Yeah, calling them Heathens with a capital H will do a great job of opening their eyes. Why can't evangelicals see that Atheists are turned off by not only the idea of God, but the people who shove His words in their face?

Don't know... Must be sad to believe that your life holds no lasting meaning. Here today, gone tomorrow, everything you do is in vain.. Maybe that's why some atheists always seem so angry. Not all, just a lot of them.

Wow... theres so much wrong with that statement that I don't even know or want to begin.. . All I can say is why do the most ignorant people always insist that they know whats best for everybody?

because Atheists ask the one critical question that you won't ..... What created god?. When I am faced with two essentially absurd arguments I choose the least absurd one.. g. Granted the idea that one day all the basic particles of the universe that preceded the Big Bang and led to stellar evolution and all the other derivative evolutions were simply just there in space is humbling, incomprehensible and absurd.. The Idea that one day your god shows up in the same arena fully formed and ready to intentionally and methodically create the universe without having evolved somewhere else first ,is magnitudes greater in absurdity. You cannot accept a universe that doesn't revolve around you and your need to be the reason for its' existence. The loneliness would be too much to bear .So what do you do ? You invent a god or gods and now the universe isn't such a lonely place anymore . This is totally human ,and completely understandable. You make one critical mistake , you start believing that it is actually true. Oops!

Spirituality is all about acceptance of others for being themselves. If one is truly spiritual, then there is less feeling of superiority over others. I suggest you not only pray for others but for yourself too, to be more understanding and live the life that you see to be spiritual. Good luck as it is easier said than done. :)
