Why do some people feel that Americans don't understand certain concepts or perspectives?

I don't think Americans are the one who a inbred dangergoinoff...we were not the ones who had cousins marrying cousins just to keep royal blood. As far as "getting it" goes, there is nothing to get. Our country works a lot differently then any other country in the world and it must be doing OK because people from all over the world want to move here.. And as far as being "lazy" GetMeTheBigK...Americans work harder than any other country and take the least amount of time off...except maybe our lazy selfish current president.

A lot of cultures are affected by their first members: America was colonised by religious fanatic old people and teenagers mostly. :). . My country was colonised by working class English and it has an attitude that reflects it too.

Be more specific, somethings we get, somethings we don't, and still others we don't care to. Without Americans, Europe would be part of Germany. Before you criticize us maybe you should thank us and give us the benefit of the doubt. We may not be perfect but you will not find I greater place to live. The next presidential Election is just around the corner and we will have someone new in power (maybe better or maybe worse) will you? I think Geoff you have America envy just like Blair, perhaps one day we may let you live in America, but for now just watch our movies you piss @ss!
