My cats love to do this too. I was told that it helps to clean the teeth. I think it is a game to them to see how many little pieces they can make that can't be picked up by a vacuum. They love to watch me clean up the mess.

Cats just loves cardboard. Mine chews and picks at nothing but. I can buy her a Fancy cat bed, she will sleep in a Pepsi cube. Just be happy she is chewing on a box not a couch. Her favorite toy is free. You just have to vacuum a little more often

If your cat is young, she might still be teething. Give her a few hard treats each day ex. Pounce. It's also good for tarter control. Have chew toys for her and other toys that she likes. All cats do this and you could lose some nice things. I'm sure she'll outgrow it. All my cats have done this.

Is she a kitten? Mine outgrew the chewing once they were full grown. Perhaps it is the teething? My new little one is constantly finding things to chew and I have to keep taking bits of paper, etc. away from him so he won't choke.
