It is not only on yahoo answers it is everywhere in the USA, have you watched the news lately? I love watching the news, but the more I listen to the reporters, the more I wish I had never tuned in. The whole Country has gone to h**l and you either have to deal with it or hate it, like me. What will you do?

Because it seems that proper spelling and intelligence are no longer "hip" in our corporate era. Increasingly small education budgets and the gradual increase of shallow celebrity tv shows, pointless chit-chat and sports talk may also have a role in that.. . Yes, people are indeed getting more retarded with each generation. It's like we are getting massive lobotomies or something.

We can, but lots of us use the Hunt and Peck typing skill and don't bother with punctuation. (It's not formal, why be so formal?)

I totally agree with you. I find this text style of writing to be awful. Half the time I can't read it, so I just flip to the next question. Earlier, I eventually deciphered a question where the user kept on saying things such as...'Its LIKE so totally cool'...and...'Could you please help because I'm LIKE so confused'. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Though of course cool was 'kol', could was 'cud', you was 'u', and because was 'bcuz'.
