Because it is from history that we learn about the presnt and the future. We can learn from the past and try not to make the same mistakes in the present.

So we can better understand how we got to where we are, and then have a better understanding of where we may be headed. Cause and Effect. It's how the universe works.

History is important because u will know the mistake of our predecessor had done and know how to avoid it.. For me, past can become the present and present can become the future..why? because in life..many things are happen repeatedly unconciously. By knowing the resemblences in life pattern, we could answer some of the question that maybe come up in our lifetime.
