on the contrary I think you should learn history in schools, it gives you a sense of your place in the world, how you and your country came this position in time. This is providing it is not biased or colored to a particular political picture. It is obvious that some people on this site have had their history prejudiced against certain ethnic groups and are probably not aware of the real facts (what ever they may be). Then they argue a point on which they are not really acquainted with all the facts.. So History, study it but not just from one book or point of view, widen your scope of reference.
