its nuts, more people try to protect the criminals instead of the victims. Now days if some one brakes into your house and hurts them selves doing it they can sue your ass for everything you have left.

I'm sorry to hear that Hippie but because they are citizens, they still have equal rights. Until they get caught and put in jail. You should have shot them in the leg rather than giving an empty threat. You'd have to prove why you did it, but because we do have equal rights that sucks and you'd still have to do it.. . Besides, if you start removing rights of those that you don't think are honest enough to deserve them, where do you stop?

People are innocent until proven guilty.. May I suggest that you don't pull a weapon unless you are willing to use it.

Ga recently passed a law that gives you the right to shoot someone if you FEEL threatened. You don't have to actually see a weapon if someone is committing a crime against you to shoot them.

I would have laughed at you if I were one of them. And they don't have the same rights. Because once they get caught it's a whole different world going througgh the justice system.

criminals have the same rights as honest citizens because of the bill of rights and the constitution. the justice program was built around making everything fair for everyone. if the system was by-est than that would make it corrupt.

We are going to have to find a healthy balance at some point but it is stupid to think that you should have the right to kill someone in exchange for your stereo and your Starland Vocal Band CD.

I don't think you should be able to kill someone for stealing. However they should be punished! Grab your camera next time.

According to the law, it is never a defense to use deadly force to defend your property....your person has to be threatened. If you think about it....the court puts the value of human life higher than the contents of your car. It does make sense...on a very broad level. A human life is worth more than a car stereo. A person does have the right to defend themselves if they believe they are in imminent danger, and you usually do not have a duty to retreat from your home, or property. It is frustrating to watch criminals get off...... . the law only protects the criminals that stole from you from being killed for it....punishment has to fit the crime. It shouldn't stop them from being punished...did you press charges? Justice is a slow frustrating process...you can't beat the laws, but you can change them.
