Which is more crucial: self-confidence or education?

They are both equally important. You need the confidence to succeed in education. To take the classes you want and to have the condfidence to get a good grade reflects on who you are. The confidence also helps you to take the risks.

im an advocate of education. noone can replace that march that you go to towards the stage as your name is being called when you receive your first phd. nobody would regret all that pain for a $150,000/yr paycheck... believe me, there are a lot of beggars out there who are over confident.

I think that one needs self confidence and to believe in themselves. One way to do this, is to have a better education. My answer is Education. With education, anything else can become possible!
