It isn't needed. Religion is a means to control the masses- how do you think the Christian Church became so powerful?

Because you are a sinner. There is only one pronouncement for those who have sinned: they are lost forever. That is why Jesus went to the cross, to pay for our sins. Whoever believes in Him will not go to hell.. . I'm a sinner too, and I believe in Jesus. The bible also contains a wealth of information about the character of God, and how He would have us live while we are still on earth.

Friend I hate to tell you, satan is a higher power than you, But not higher than God, What do you consider the golden rule, thou shalt not kill, or thy shall not have any other God before you, or love thy neighbor or love God with all your heart, I am a Christian, But I don't need what this religious world calls religion, Salvation is what I have

Its garbage as long as you also believe that you are OK in the eye of your "higher power" However many religions say the exact opposite, that we are NOT "OK". That we need to do something to be OK. . . However this is also one of the main points that separates Christianity from other religions. Scripture shows that there isn't anything we can do ourselves that ultimately makes us OK with God. This is seen in both the OT and NT scriptures. While sacrifice was necessary in both cases(the priestly ones OT, Christ's ultimate priestly one NT) ultimately the only thing that makes us OK in God's sight is simply his grace and and our faith in it.

Because a large part of the "rest of religion" concerns the salvation of your eternal soul thru Jesus, the Christ and Savior. Because a large part of the "rest of religion" is coming to know the love and mercy of the one true God.

Religion is the practical application of spiritual things in our. daily lives. Associating with positive people. Reading motivational. and inspirational material. Meditating, (quiet time), for relieving. stress. And prayer, keeping the lines of communication . open to our Highest Power.. Religion can be used like many false prides. That many use as an excuse to cover-up for their own insecurities.

If you believe in electrons and have a lightbulb, why is a light switch needed? If you have the lightbulb and the lightswitch and believe in electrons, why do you have to know how to hook them up? If you have the lightbulb and the lightswitch believe in electrons and know how to hook it all up, why do you need to?. . It depends on what kind of a goal you're trying to achieve. If you're just trying to "be a good person," good on you, that's a noble, honorable goal, and I wish you all luck. But if you're trying to please God, that won't cut it.

All religions are true but after misinterpretations and mislead by the human themselves, it will certainly become garbage. That is the reason why God keep on descending religion.
