I was late on my credit card payments, but then I received some extra money. Can I use that to pay off what I owe to Fleet Credit Cards?

its possible, you need to contact them , it would be a case to case basis. do understand though if on your credit it ill show as a settled account which is not as good a a paid account. if you owed a legitimate debt, whey should they take less its not to their benefit

Before you pay them, tell them that you want it IN WRITING that there will be nothing on your credit rating against you from them. Tell them once you are assured of that, you will pay them in full.. Otherwise when you go to get credit anywhere, if you can even get it, your interest rate will be astronomical.
