What are the reasons why time travel has not been achieved yet?

because we havent figured out how the space-time continuum works yet. but then... if we ever do find out in the future, wouldnt someone already have brought the secret back to us now so that we would already know?

IT IS possible, travelling to the future is possible ,but not travelling back in time, space travel is possible through warping in a wormhole.

Well they have supposedly figured out that you could go back in time. But there would be no way to come back to the present.

time travel is not possible becuase you can't move speed of light and you can't bend the way light does. AND ANOTHER THING. yOU THEY SAY CAN GO BACK BUT CAN'T COME TO THE RPESENT AND THAT'S WHERE THE FUN BEGINS BECUASE THEY COULD MAKE A FRUAD MACHINE. tHEY HAVE YOU PAY 8000 DOLLARS AND ONCE YOU PAY IT THEY SEND YOU BACK BUT THEY COULD ZAP YOU WITH 9000 MEGA VOLTS AND MEGAHEARTS AND YOU'D BE ASHES AND YOUR ASHES WOULD BE ASHES OF ASHES SO IN OPTHER WORDS WHILE THE BLINDING LIGHT COMES THEY DROP YOUR ASHES IN A HOLE SO IT LOOKS LIKE YOU WENT TO THE PAST.

There are better, more technical answers, but I prefer more common-sense ones. So one problem is that a person who travels backward in time must exist in two places. Suppose you traveled back to see what you looked like as a little kid. There you would be, as an adult looking at a kid, AND as the kid. There would be two of you. . . A second problem is that you could easily change history. What if you traveled back to when your *father* was a kid, and you killed him. What does that mean for your own existence? . . There are lots of other problems like this, but you can see how the issues develop.. . Good luck!!
