if you only have windows media player istalled. it wont play dvd or vcd`s,you need to install another. player to act as codec`s , POWER DVD 5 is a good one.

Can you play DVDs on your PC? If so, it should really play your VCDs too. Try going to to website for the CD/DVD player that's in your computer, and see if you can update the drivers. . . There's lots of software out there that will let you make copies of DVDs and VCDs. Apollo DVD Copy is really good. You can download it, and use it for 7 copies before you have to pay for it! try DVD Decriptor. If it will not work, maybe your player in PC locked for some region code, different with dvd, cd
