When guys first started liking other guys, people thought it was weird, and (for the most part) condemned it, because it didn't go with the crowd. After a while, it started to be accepted by more and more people, but only after denial and ignorance. People think new things can be evil because they don't understand them. This is also why some people hate Christianity. Because they don't understand (or claim to have proof) of God.
