Probably for the same reason that the US media always leans heavily in the Palestinians' favor when "reporting" on the Israel-Palestine conflict. . . Namely, that the left-leaning secularists who run the Red Cross (and the media) are a bunch of Israelophobes.

Who ever said it wasn't? Im sure the Jews don't want the Star to be used by the Red Cross.. . The Red Crescent is used because Muslims dont like the sight of the cross and it is illegal in most Muslim countries.

I guess you will have to add to your question because the average person will have no idea what you are talking about. The symbol for the red cross is the same as their name. RED CROSS. As to favoritism, the US CLEARLY shows favoritism to Isreal, not any Muslim countries. Many people feel we are in the war in support of Isreal (I have mixed feelings on that). You need to stop seeing yourselves as victims. Your point of view is half the battle.. (added 6-21)Here's a link regarding this issue since I had no idea what this was in regard to. Evidently there was a secular compromise made.. http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20060620/lf_afp/israelpalestinians_060620155604
