How can I set Windows Media Player as the default player for media files when using LimeWire?

If you use Windows XP, go start->set program access and defaults and set it there. Then go to Limewire and go to options and go to Media Player then unselect "Use LimwWire Media Player." Then download a file or play one in the library and see if it works.

earlier: i don't know but my cousins has limewire on their laptop so I'll ask them if they know anything. hope they know.. . later: hi, I'm back. this is what my cousins says (i don't know if it's helpful or not): "Well, if you download music you get the music on a file that you made for it and click on it and it will play."

open media player--click on options...here you should see how to make it the default player

right click on any mpg or any movie file. . ...select open with >choose program>. . select windows media player. . then tick the checkbox that says ... . "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file". . regards,. pilot
